  3. Variable definitions: History of smoking was defined as positive if the subject had smoked ≥ 5 cigarettes per day for ≥ 1 year and was still smoking or had quit within the previous 10 years. History of drinking was defined as positive if the subject’s alcohol consumption exceeded 50 g per day for ≥ 1 year. Drug use of antithrombotic was defined as positive if the patient had been taking antithrombotic for ≥ 2 weeks within 1 month prior to the current hospitalization
